About Leah Salazar
Leah was born and raised in Lake Tahoe. She received her bachelors of science in nursing from the University of Nevada in Reno. After working for three years as a nurse in the hospitals of Reno and San Francisco, she went on to receive her masters in nursing and became a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through Sonoma State. She is currently attending the University of Alabama to complete her doctorate of nursing practice.
Leah has 9 years of experience working as an RN and a nurse practitioner, as well as an assistant professor at UNR. She served primarily in oncology before transferring to aesthetics. Leah now loves working in aesthetics because of the positive work environment where she can build long-lasting and trusting relationships with her patients. She loves getting to know her patients and helping them feel their best. In addition to her work with Dr. Charles Virden, she is passionate about volunteering locally and abroad. Leah recently returned from Nicaragua where she volunteered in a rural clinic, providing care and education to the underserved community there.
When she is not working, Leah is an avid traveler and enjoys outdoor activities. She spends much of her spare time with her two dogs Kezar and Zuma.
