Founded in 1931, the Nevada Museum of Art is the oldest cultural institution in Nevada that now features national and international artists. The staff of Charles P. Virden, MD advises patients, who are traveling to Reno for plastic surgery, to schedule a trip to the Nevada Museum of Art. Known as a "museum of ideas," the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno strives to provide creative inspiration, cultural understanding, and new knowledge to all visitors. Featuring 4 main themes in the permanent collections: the Robert S. and Dorothy J. Keyser Art of the Greater West Collection, the Carol Franc Buck Altered Landscape Photography Collection, the Contemporary Art Collections, and the E.L. Wiegand Work Ethic in American Art Collection.
