Dr. Eva Dentcheva is a distinguished, double board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in aesthetic and reconstructive body, breast, and hand procedures. She is dedicated to empowering her patients through a compassionate, informed, and comfortable surgical experience. Dr. Eva currently resides in Virginia as she gets ready to join the Reno community.
Dr. Eva’s clinical interests span a wide range of transformative procedures, but for her, plastic surgery isn’t about “fixing a problem”; it’s about enhancing what you already have so you feel powerful and comfortable in your own skin.
Along with a strong philosophy rooted in empowerment, Dr. Eva has continued to shine in her field, establishing a microsurgery program from scratch at the Sentara Health System in Norfolk and Virginia Beach, along with Dr. Richard Tyrell. Committed to shaping the next generation of surgeons, she also headed the hand subspecialty curriculum during her residency and conducted extensive research in her field.
Dr. Eva graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine, conducted her General Surgery Residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, and completed her Plastic Surgery Residency at Temple University. She also completed her Surgery of the Hand Residency Program with Jefferson Health in Philadelphia, PA. As a respected member of the medical community, she belongs to highly regarded and reputable societies, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the Association of Women Surgeons.
Outside of surgery, Dr. Eva is an avid photographer and loves being outdoors. She looks forward to enjoying Reno’s activities, having already explored the amazing skiing and hiking of the Sierras. She is excited to introduce Rivé to Reno and continue to provide the community excellent, patient-centered care.
